My new home break. These were taken about a mile from my place, not a great day for surf but a couple fun waves and a classic summer evening.

Bodysurfn

Here a few shots of Yours Truly from a recent bodysurf session that went down at County Line. Fun south swell and some good lefts. Had a great session until I got burned by a boogie and called it quits. Good prep for the Oceanside contest at the end of this month.

Sushi

There are a lot of fish in the ocean between the Mission Bay harbor and 60 miles off of Ensenada, a lot. However, none of them seemed to want to bite on anything that was attached to my line. I discovered that deep sea fishing can still be a good time even without actually catching fish. You still get to drink lots of budweiser all night on a boat and meet a lot of nice rednecks. Thankfully Rusty hooked me up with half of his catch and Sushi night was a success.

Train ride down south. Sure beats $5 gas and sitting in LA traffic...

Oldies but goodies

Here are some shots from a September 2005 boat trip in Indonesia. These were taken with a small little handheld digi cam in a water housing. This was the session that i realized how much fun swimming and taking water shots can be. Almost as good as surfing, not quite, but almost.

Happy Birthday to Me! (and also back surgery)

Since I have neglected my blog for the past month, I will cram it all into a few entries here. For any of you out there (is there really anyone out there even reading this?) that were dissapointed when I canceled my Myspace account, this is my long awaited return to the online world. I celebrated my 28th with some good old fashioned back surgery!!! Been recovering up in Ojai, getting better day by day. It has actually been really good for getting some other things taken care of, like getting my website finalized. I will be out of the water (off of a board at least) all summer, but I will definitely be at the beach still, mostly taking photos from land and going for a few bodysurfs. Photos from my summer of being a spectator will be posted here, unless they are keepers, then they are going into the portfolio.

Spring Break Road Trip

With gasoline being a bargain at around $3.50 a gallon, it was time for a little nor cal roadtrip. Below are a few select moments.
